Sunday we headed out for a quick hike before church but 7 kids, rocks, and a stream took much longer than expected (not to mention some very wet kids) so we decided to keep the kids outside and go to Brighton Beach for a picnic lunch. Another lovely day with warm sunshine and a cool breeze off the lake.
In the evening, we got to see our friend I don her hockey gear and watch a bit of her practice. She is quite the athlete and it was so fun to see her totally in her element. We headed next door for wood fired pizza in an old ironworks. Any noise made by our large crew just disappeared into the enormous space, so we could sit and enjoy some local brew while the kids played bocce ball next to us.
