We had not seen our friends J and J since their 2nd child was only a few months old and our Mr. 7 was less than a year. We have very fond memories of visiting them in their little apartment in Brooklyn when we were each figuring out how to be parents to one and now both families have four. The kids were excited to meet these friends they had heard so much about.
Right away, the kids hit it off. It turns out that they also love Super Mario Brothers, Star Wars, and legos, so common ground was quickly established. It was wonderful to catch up with J and J and hear about their life on the Kansas prairie, homeschooling, teaching theology, and parenting.
