Even if you did have two blueberry muffins and two bowls of oatmeal and a banana for breakfast.

An off day
Today did not start well. Mr. 10 and Mr. 8 woke up arguing, Mr. 4 cried for 20 minutes because I insisted he mix the brown sugar into his oatmeal rather than just eat it off the top, Mr. 1 carried off my coffee, Mr. 10 almost cried when I asked him to wash his hands again so he wouldn't get peanut butter on his paper, Mr. 8 keeps trying to lay on the couch, wandering away from the table mid-sentence... And best of all, Mr. 1 was caught ripping off pieces of toilet paper, dipping it in the toilet (flushed thankfully), and sucking the water out of it. His water cup is thrown on the floor just a few feet away!
Happily everyone seems to be settling in with schoolwork getting done, books being read, and puzzles being done. Definitely a day for a long walk in the sunshine.

Weekend
Memorial Day weekend is supposed to be beautiful but instead Saturday was cold and rainy and Sunday just cold. David planned on taking Mr. 10 camping on Saturday but they decided camping in the rain just wasn't fun so waited until Sunday morning to head out. While they were off in the woods I held down the fort at home. Mr. 8 and Mr. 4 insisted on using camping dishes and sleeping in their sleeping bags. They pulled each other and friends in the wagon, played at the park, and cleaned out the sandbox (well, I cleaned out the sandbox while they played but the sandbox was cleaned).
Around 1pm I got a call from David. They had a great time and were heading home but the car wouldn't start. So they were looking for someone to jump them or perhaps would need to call AAA. I had gotten the oil changed a few days before when the check engine light had come on (not that I thought it would fix it but it had reminded me to do it) and they had told me the battery was marginal and I should get a new one soon. I unfortunately had not translated that as now but merely added it to my long list of things to do. Luckily a jump was all that was required to get them to a place where they could get a new battery and they made it home in time for a great backyard birthday party for a friend.
Up
Mr. 1's favorite word right now is up. He can hear an airplane miles away and points and says tells us "up" until it appears. The moon is "up ball" and he likes it when I swing him up in the sky.
